The Stage and The Studio
Fareed Simpson's career spans performances with some of jazz's most celebrated ensembles, including lead trumpet appearances with the Count Basie Orchestra and Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, as well as performances with the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra and Arturo O'Farrill's Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra.
Beyond jazz, Simpson served as lead trumpeter on The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour, featuring Lauryn Hill and the Fugees, with guest artists including Nas, Black Thought, Questlove, and Lil Wayne. His recording credits also include work with Grammy-winning gospel artist Tye Tribbett.
